ASTS plans 60 ground gateways by 2026

ASTS is developing over 60 ground gateways globally as part of its plan to offer initial satellite coverage on regular smartphones before the end of 2026.

Shay Boloor highlighted these developments and noted that carrier partners are contributing funding for the ground infrastructure, allowing ASTS to allocate more of its capital to other expansion efforts.

Boloor has previously reported on product launches and technology integrations in the sector. Earlier, he noted ServiceNow's launch of an AI-driven Flow service desk for Slack and Teams. He has also covered new device releases such as the foldable iPhone Duo, which sold out quickly after preorders opened.
