India bolsters rupee with extraordinary dollar interventions, Alexander Stahel notes
India deploys billions to support rupee

India is deploying tens of billions of dollars and engaging in extraordinary market interventions to support the rupee as the currency faces pressure from elevated oil prices and investor outflows.

Alexander Stahel, founder and CIO at Commodity Private Equity Fund, reported the aggressive measures underway since June.

Stahel has previously noted investor unease with financing costs in the tech sector, pointing to concerns among debt and equity holders in CoreWeave. He also reported that two customers accounted for 20% of Anthropic's H1 2026 revenue. These observations reflect Stahel’s ongoing monitoring of financial pressures across different markets.
