Binance breach affects $6.3 billion

Binance has experienced a significant security breach with an estimated $6.3 billion affected, according to a tweet from Ran Neuner, founder of Crypto Banter.

Bitcoin dropped below $77,000, resulting in approximately $1.5 billion in liquidations. Neuner also reported that estimated crypto security losses in 2026 now total $9 billion across 750 incidents.

Neuner has commented previously on altcoin performance, noting that certain altcoins were showing strength while market attention stayed on Bitcoin and its recent corrections. He also addressed rising U.S. inflation, reporting it rose to 3.7 percent with bond yields spiking in tandem in a separate update that highlighted mounting macroeconomic pressures.
