Alexander Stahel: Tech sector rotation may challenge Anthropic pricing
Tech rotation may affect Anthropic pricing

A shift within the technology sector could make it harder for Anthropic to secure funding at the anticipated price, according to Alexander Stahel, founder and CIO at Commodity Private Equity Fund. Stahel commented that recent tech sell-offs and signs pointing to the end of the AI boom may increase volatility and pressure Anthropic’s deal terms.

Stahel previously noted that a shell company is borrowing $63 billion to acquire Broadcom and Google-designed chips, with Anthropic lease payments set to repay the loans, according to a past report. He has also highlighted the collapse of Chinese earnings estimates following CATL's Q3 miss and overcapacity from investment-led growth in an earlier article. These developments add context to the funding challenges Anthropic now faces.
