Issuers object to OKX-ICE tokenized shares

A group of 33 issuers has raised objections to OKX-ICE trading their tokenized shares.

This development was highlighted by Fernando Nikolic, who noted that representatives from Nasdaq reportedly encouraged these objections and that Nasdaq is also reported to be building its own tokenized stock platform in partnership with Kraken.

Nikolic previously reported on Franklin Templeton’s launch of two Nasdaq-listed ETFs composed of U.S. stocks and bitcoin. He also highlighted that HSBC’s RedCoin stablecoin cannot transfer between Hong Kong’s PayMe and main banking apps. Both developments add to recent activity at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets.
