Labor Department crypto 401K rule review

A U.S. Labor Department rule that could make it easier to include crypto in 401K retirement plans has reached the White House for review.

Jacquelyn Melinek reported that the proposal would give those selecting investments for these plans legal protection if specific processes are followed.

Melinek has previously highlighted regulatory and innovation developments in the crypto sector. She recently reported that OKXICE increased its company stock opt-outs from a planned tokenization effort. In another story, Melinek noted Visa’s rollout of USDC-based global payouts and Mastercard’s stablecoin integration partnership.
