Bitcoin private key recovery requirements unchanged, Alex Thorn notes
Quantum requirements unchanged for Bitcoin keys

Alex Thorn stated that although a development was described as very cool, it does not change the required qubit count or the number of quantum operations needed to recover a Bitcoin private key.

Thorn previously commented that despite growing institutional involvement, most bitcoin supply remains in self-custody. In an earlier analysis, he discussed the resolution of a bitcoin genesis block puzzle using weak entropy in a multisig setup. These observations form part of his ongoing focus on technical aspects of bitcoin security.
