Ursula von der Leyen: Europe drives renewable rollout post-COP28
Ursula von der Leyen recently acknowledged the historical significance of COP28 in uniting the world behind renewables and energy efficiency.
The president of the European Commission thanked Sultan Al Jaber for his role in the event and emphasized Europe's commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives in developing countries. Von der Leyen stressed that Europe, in collaboration with industry, remains dedicated to staying true to the spirit and legacy of COP28 as it works towards global energy transformation. As part of these efforts, Europe plans to partner with industries to distribute renewable energy solutions to nations that need them the most.
