But we saved everything 🙂.
Micron Technology and Meta released new research on LPDDR5X performance in large-scale data center workloads. The companies used Meta’s open-source DCPerf benchmark suite for the evaluation.
The results challenge conventional thinking. They show how low-power memory can help balance performance, capacity, and energy.
Micron Technology (MU) is currently trading at $922.42, below the MA-20 ($976.07) and MA-50 ($955.26) but well above the MA-200 ($502.01), indicating short- and medium-term selling pressure while the long-term structure remains bullish. The Ichimoku Kijun on D1 stands at $1,047.76, which now acts as immediate resistance; nearby supports cluster at the MA-50 ($955.26) as near-term support and MA-100 ($709.45) as key support, while resistance levels are set by the MA-20 ($976.07) near-term and the Ichimoku Kijun ($1,047.76) as key resistance.
Momentum on D1 is bearish, as the MACD signals sell and the ADX reads neutral, indicating a weak directional trend. RSI, CCI, and Stoch RSI all point to selling or strong sell conditions, while the BBP reading suggests sellers are currently in control. The Awesome Oscillator does not provide additional confirmation this session. In today's session, MU has dropped sharply, sliding 6.85% from the previous close. Over the past week, the stock is trading at $922.42, up from $845.33 a week ago, a 9.12% gain. Price is currently in the middle of its weekly range, with volatility amplitude at 17.80%. Despite a retreat from the highs, the tone for the week remains consolidation after strong upward movement.
For the upcoming week, the expected price range for MU is $900 to $1,110, placing it midway between the 52-week low of $103.42 and the high of $1,255. On W1, all key indicators (RSI, ADX, MACD, MA-50) give bullish signals, resulting in a very high probability (more than 80%) of a price increase and a much lower chance of further declines. The baseline scenario sees the stock consolidating between established support and resistance. A bullish breakout above $1,048 could trigger rapid gains toward the yearly high, while a sustained move below $900 would expose the stock to a deeper pullback, although this is less likely given strong long-term momentum.
Previously it was reported that Micron Technology was experiencing short-term downside pressure within an overall bullish long-term outlook. In the current environment, investors should watch for changes in momentum or confirmation of breakout signals, as these may determine the next directional shift for MU shares.
