Adyen shares break above €1,000 after stronger H1 results
Adyen climbed above €1,000 after reporting strong first-half results and raising its 2026 outlook. The post-earnings gap up fully delivered on the previous medium-term target, shifting attention to resistance at €1,018.
On August 13, Adyen reported its first-half 2026 results. Net revenue rose 19% year over year to €1.30 billion, or 21% at constant currency, while processed volume increased 24% to €803.8 billion. EBITDA reached €641.5 million, with a margin of 49%, or 50% excluding one-off transaction-related costs.
The most important development was the guidance upgrade. Adyen now expects 2026 net revenue growth of 21–23% at constant currency, up from its previous 20–22% range.

Holding above €1,000 keeps upside momentum intact
The medium term scenario is now unfolding exactly as outlined in the previous analysis. Following the earnings release, the stock gapped up and gained roughly 10% from the previous close, reaching the medium-term target of €1,000.Today's key resistance is €1,018. A break and hold above this level will keep the post-earnings narrative intact and potentially lift shares towards the 200-day SMA around €1,065.
The medium term target has been raised to the 1,200 to 1,250 level, with the fundamental outlook brightening.
Earnings could mark the start of a broader recovery
Even after a solid earnings print, Adyen shares are still in recovery mode after a significant sell-off in the first half of 2026, so this shouldn’t be interpreted as a full return to an long-term uptrend by itself yet. That said, the increased processing volume, revised revenue guidance and move above €1,000 significantly strengthens the outlook in the medium term, and if the pace of business activity accelerates in the next few quarters, this pop could be the start of a much more sustained rally following a tough start to the year.
