Rolls-Royce slips below GBX 1,510 as 50-day SMA comes into focus
Rolls-Royce has slipped below GBX 1,510 following its strong summer rally, shifting attention toward support at GBX 1,450. The fundamental backdrop remains solid, while recent developments continue to point to healthy activity in Civil Aerospace.
TT Electronics announced a multi-million-pound lifetime contract with Rolls-Royce to supply power electronics for all of the company’s major civil aerospace engine programs. The agreement covers multi-chip power modules and precision magnetics used in engine control systems, making them critical components within the wider propulsion platform.

Failure to reclaim GBX 1,510 puts GBX 1,450 in focus
RR shares have fallen below the previously highlighted support level at GBX 1,510, making the ability to reclaim this level the main technical question for the coming sessions.
If the shares fail to move back above GBX 1,510 and hold there, selling pressure could extend toward GBX 1,450. The 50-day SMA is also located near this area, adding further significance to the level.
The alternative scenario would be a quick recovery above GBX 1,510. In that case, the technical structure would improve again, with the record high near GBX 1,586 becoming the first target.
A decisive break above the record high could open the way toward the medium-term target zone at GBX 1,600–1,650.
Fundamentals remain intact despite the recent pullback
After the strong advance of recent months, some profit-taking appears natural. Even after the decline between August 18 and August 20, the shares remain only around 6% below the record high of GBX 1,586 reached earlier in August.
At the same time, Rolls-Royce’s fundamental story has not changed materially. The company continues to benefit from Civil Aerospace, Defence and Power Systems, while the latest TT Electronics contract further strengthens the long-term supply chain supporting its civil aerospace business.
