Paycom stock opened the session with a gap down from $231.7 to $227.36. Price is currently trading below the MA-20, which is at $227.04, but remains above both the MA-50 and MA-200, resulting in a split daily structure. The RSI at 66.3 is nearing overbought territory, pointing to early indications that the recent advance could be getting stretched.
A close above $227.04 would indicate buyers are willing to follow through on the current move. In the latest session, shares gapped down from $231.7 to $227.36 at the open. Even so, despite a sustained move lower with a firm trend over the past week, the upside probability for the coming trading week is 64% and the downside probability is 36%, with an expected trading range of $214.24 to $227.11. A drop below $201.33 would show the move is being faded. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays constructive.
Previously it was reported that Paycom maintained bullish momentum following strong financial results and continued share repurchases. The current shift below the short-term moving average amid a notable client addition introduces a mixed setup, making $227.04 a crucial pivot to gauge whether upside potential remains intact for the coming sessions.
