Highlights

  • Experian stock trades below all major daily moving averages, indicating broad selling pressure across timeframes.
  • Technical indicators such as MACD, RSI, CCI and Stochastic RSI issue continued sell signals, with some oversold exhaustion appearing.
  • Expected five-day price range is GBX2,669 to GBX2,815, with a 63% probability of a downward move and sideways consolidation forecast near current levels.
Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, highlights persistent weakness in Experian as the stock continues to trade under all key moving averages. He stresses that technical pressure and the lack of positive news signal further vulnerability in both sentiment and structure. Kharitonov notes that oversold readings on the RSI and CCI may signal exhaustion, but there is little evidence of reversal with both MACD and Stochastic RSI still negative. The gap down and inability to reclaim resistance levels point to sustained selling. "Without a clear catalyst or shift in market mood, I believe the downside scenario remains the base case for Experian," he states.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, sees Experian holding a constructive longer-term structure despite current setbacks. He remarks that the underlying bullish alignment between the MA-50 and MA-200 supports the prospect of a rebound. Karapetjanc emphasizes that oversold momentum offers a technical setup for opportunistic entries if the price reclaims GBX2,760. "In my view, the market offers attractive setups and the bullish structure remains intact for forward-looking investors," he says.
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, adopts a skeptical tone regarding Experian's momentum. She observes that sentiment is clearly pessimistic as the stock remains pinned near its lows with weak directional signals. Dele notes the lack of supportive macro or news-driven tailwinds, reflecting broader market indifference. "The current setup suggests caution — I do not see a catalyst for sustained recovery at this stage," she comments.

Short-term exhaustion increases as sellers maintain pressure below moving averages

Experian trades below all key daily moving averages, with the latest price at GBX2,742 under the MA-20 (GBX2,887), MA-50 (GBX2,833), and MA-200 (GBX2,809). This indicates persistent short-, medium-, and long-term pressure from sellers, even as the MA-50 vs MA-200 alignment still confirms a bullish long-term bias. Nearest resistance is at GBX2,760 and closest support sits at GBX2,669. Momentum remains tilted to the downside as both MACD and Relative Strength Index (RSI) signal "Sell", with the ADX at 15.95 reflecting a weak and directionless trend. The RSI points to limited buying strength at 45.94, and both Commodity Channel Index (CCI) and Stochastic RSI register "Sell" and "Oversold", highlighting potential short-term exhaustion. Despite this, Bull/Bear Power (BBP) remains positive at 3.79, signalling that buyers still have an intraday edge, although its "Overbought" status tempers the outlook. The Awesome Oscillator is neutral and does not confirm the move. The stock is down GBX58 or 2.07% for the day after a downside gap of around GBX10 (0.36%), hovering near its intraday low on modest volatility of 1.12%. There is ongoing pressure after the open, and the momentum environment is marked by oversold readings alongside continued sell indications, suggesting some divergence.

Previously it was reported that Experian was exhibiting ongoing downside momentum and consolidating beneath key technical levels. The latest analysis reinforces this bearish structure, with the current focus on whether the stock can maintain support at GBX2,669 or risk further short-term losses if that level fails.
