SpaceX stock tests $155 as Starlink restrictions raise partner concerns
SpaceX faces a key $155 test amid partner concerns

SpaceX is expanding its commercial and government footprint, but Starlink’s growing importance is bringing new reputational risks. The next test is whether $155 can hold long enough for a rebound to develop.

SpaceX successfully launched the 35th cargo mission to the International Space Station for NASA. The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket sent the Dragon spacecraft to orbit carrying over 6,300 pounds of scientific instruments, supplies, and two new solar arrays for the ISS.

Starlink restrictions raise uncomfortable questions about partner reliability

On October 14, reports emerged that SpaceX had restricted access to certain Starlink services for Ukraine, affecting the use of terminals during military operations. Ukrainian officials said the changes were introduced without advance warning and caused disruptions to service.

The issue is particularly sensitive because Poland is financing Starlink access for Ukraine. After reports of the restrictions surfaced, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski publicly sought an explanation from Elon Musk.

For SpaceX, the episode creates a reputational risk. If the terms of a critical infrastructure service can be changed without clear prior coordination with the customer, governments and large organizations may begin to question how much operational certainty they can expect from the company.

Starlink’s technological advantages do not fully eliminate that concern. For major customers, reliability also means knowing that access to essential infrastructure will not change unexpectedly at a critical moment.

SpaceX needs $155 to hold before a rebound can develop

The bullish scenario from the previous analysis did not play out. SpaceX stock failed to defend the key $161–158.50 support zone and extended its decline, eventually testing $156.54.

Over the next several sessions, the price needs to stabilize around $155 for a short-term recovery toward $163 to become more likely.

A stronger confirmation would come from a hold at $155 accompanied by a high-volume daily doji candle. That would provide an early indication that selling pressure is beginning to fade.

If stabilization fails and the stock establishes a sustained move below $155, the risk of a deeper correction would increase considerably. The next major reference would then be the 50-day SMA near $146.

SPCX faces a wider range of market-moving catalysts

SpaceX now finds itself navigating a number of conflicting stories. NASA operations and mobile expansion continue to be positive, while the Starlink story creates a new reputational risk.

This combination makes the stock especially vulnerable to news. Given the size of SpaceX's growing opportunity set and the risk of customer reliance on its infrastructure, there may still be unusually high short-term volatility.
