ASML stock opened the session with a gap down from €1,418 to €1,365 before retracing part of that drop. The price remains beneath its MA-20, MA-50, and MA-200, keeping the overall chart structure bearish. The MA-200 at €1,392 now serves as nearby resistance. CCI reading at -90.1 is approaching oversold territory, suggesting the decline may soon be stretched.
A close above €1,392 would indicate that buyers are willing to follow through on any rebound. The session began with a sharp drop from €1,418 to €1,365, with shares later reclaiming part of the lost ground. Even so, over the next five trading days, the probability of further downside is 73%, while the chance of an upside move stands at 27%, with an expected trading range of €1,332 to €1,432. A break below the recent range would show sellers are regaining control of the move. On the weekly chart, the longer-term picture stays mixed.
Previously it was reported that analysts had highlighted growing competitive risks in advanced chip packaging for ASML, spotlighting the company's efforts to expand in next-generation technologies. With ASML now delivering record quarterly sales but its share price remaining under pressure and at key technical resistance, sustained movement above €1,392 will be critical for any notable shift in the stock's prevailing bearish trend.
