Lineage unveils COR1 cell therapy

Lineage Cell Therapeutics has announced the launch of COR1, a preclinical corneal endothelial cell therapy program developed for patients with corneal endothelial disease.

The COR1 initiative is built on the company’s AlloSCOPE platform and aims to deliver off-the-shelf corneal endothelial cells (CEnCs) for treating Fuchs Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy (FECD) and Bullous Keratopathy. This program targets two significant causes of corneal blindness, addressing critical gaps in current treatment options for these progressive conditions.

Lineage Cell Therapeutics previously reported its fourth quarter and full year 2025 financial results ahead of a scheduled business update call. The company has continued to advance its cell therapy programs in recent quarters. The latest initiative follows a series of strategic updates to its development pipeline.
