Accuray: CyberKnife radiosurgery halts progression in pituitary adenoma per Carlo Besta Institute study
CyberKnife stabilizes pituitary adenoma

Accuray reports that the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute has achieved disease stability in patients with non-functioning pituitary adenoma using multi-session radiosurgery with the CyberKnife system.

The study found no radiological progression in treated patients, with preservation of visual function and limited toxicity observed. This approach may provide a valuable treatment alternative for patients with residual or recurrent pituitary adenoma, expanding options in precision radiotherapy and radiosurgery.

Accuray previously unveiled PRO-FAST, a single-day prostate radiotherapy protocol using CyberKnife, at ESTRO26 in Milan. An Accuray study also found CyberKnife treatment achieved full local control with a strong safety profile in 68 uveal melanoma patients at ISRS2026. These studies highlight ongoing clinical evaluation of CyberKnife in diverse indications.
