Accuray has introduced a novel strategy for prostate cancer treatment, unveiling the PRO-FAST protocol at ESTRO26 in Milan. The approach utilizes single-day, single-fraction radiotherapy for prostate cancer patients, delivered through the CyberKnife system.
Dr. Fodor and Dr. Broggi from the IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute shared clinical insights on the PRO-FAST method, which aims to significantly reduce the treatment timeline for eligible patients. The initiative underscores the growing trend towards patient-centric, accelerated cancer therapies leveraging advanced radiotherapy technologies.
Accuray has previously highlighted new pediatric radiotherapy developments at ESTRO26 through its Radixact platform, as presented by Dr Liam Herbert at the conference.
