Cambium Networks unveils ePMP 4500

Cambium Networks has launched the ePMP 4500, introducing Multi-Gbps capacity at 5 GHz and 8x8 MU-MIMO technology aimed at delivering better sector efficiency and enhanced subscriber performance.

The offering features asymmetric channel bandwidth and is now backed by a North America 4x40x40 promotion. The new product is designed to meet the demands of wireless internet service providers seeking higher throughput and optimized network performance.

Cambium Networks has previously promoted Wi-Fi offload to help managed service and wireless internet providers generate new revenue and relieve carrier network congestion, according to a recent article. The company has also cautioned network operators about the risks of lag during large-scale streaming events such as global football broadcasts, as noted in a separate report. These efforts align with Cambium’s continued focus on network optimization for service providers.
