Viasat Inc unveils Space for Good

Viasat Inc introduced its Space for Good initiative in Australia, offering AUD 45,000 in prizes as phase one closes on August 23.

The company also participated in the 19th Australian Space Forum, where its Regional Vice President of APAC spoke on topics including ViaSat3, lunar connectivity, and the future direction of space technology. The program, now live in Australia, aims to support innovative projects leveraging space-based solutions.

Earlier this year, Viasat completed the deployment of key components for its ViaSat-3 F3 satellite, initiating in-orbit testing for Asia-Pacific coverage. The company previously launched its Space for Good initiative in Australia, inviting university and TAFE students to propose projects using space technology for real-world outcomes, with an initial AUD 20,000 prize. Both efforts reflect Viasat's continued focus on supporting innovation in space-based solutions in the region.
