Plug Power stock opened the session with a gap up from $2.11 to $2.52 before giving back some of those early gains. The daily structure is mixed, with price currently below the MA-50 and MA-200 but holding above the MA-20. Stoch RSI is in overbought territory, suggesting limited room for further upside. The nearest resistance is the weekly high at $2.28.
Traders should watch for a close above $2.28 to indicate buyers are willing to follow through. Shares began the session jumping from $2.11 to $2.52 before retracing part of that move intraday. Even so, over the next five trading days the probability of upside is less than 20%, with downside probability at more than 80% and an expected trading range of $2.12 to $2.35. A drop below $2.12 would suggest the current move is being faded. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays firmly negative.
Previously it was reported that Plug Power took steps to strengthen its balance sheet and liquidity by selling project assets. The latest financial results, along with improved capital efficiency and raised 2026 revenue guidance, now introduce a potential for longer-term stabilization even as the current trading scenario signals downside risk below $2.12.
