Nano Nuclear and Illinois KRONOS deal

Nano Nuclear Energy announced its collaboration with the University of Illinois to construct a full scale commercial prototype of its patented KRONOS Micro Modular Reactor. This positions Nano Nuclear Energy as the first commercially ready microreactor developer to advance to this stage.

The partnership marks a significant step toward the prototyping and potential commercialization of advanced micro nuclear reactor technology in the U.S.

Nano Nuclear Energy previously signed an agreement to deliver gigawatt-scale nuclear power for future AI datacenters, according to a recent announcement. The company also secured a contract to deploy microreactors at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in a U.S. military pilot targeting greater energy security. These initiatives reflect the firm's ongoing efforts to expand its microreactor technology applications across commercial and government sectors.
