More U.S. home sellers price realistically amid market shift, Redfin finds
Redfin: 21 percent cut home prices

Redfin disclosed that 21 percent of U.S. home sellers reduced their asking prices in the four weeks ending September 20.

The company also noted a shift in seller behavior, with more homeowners adjusting their listing prices to better match current market realities from the outset. This trend suggests increased flexibility for prospective homebuyers and reflects evolving expectations in the current housing environment.

In August, Redfin reported that 44.7 percent of U.S. home sales included seller concessions, with some Sun Belt metros reaching rates as high as 70 percent. In a separate update, the company noted that homes in San Diego were selling eight days faster year over year as buyers gained leverage over sellers.
