Bitwise Asset Management is moving closer to launching its Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF (BHYP), after filing an amended S-1 with the SEC that details a 0.67% annual management fee, finalized ticker, and a plan to stake HYPE tokens on-chain. This ETF aims to give investors direct exposure to Hyperliquid's native token and will generate additional yield by staking part of its holdings. Key recent developments in the Hyperliquid ecosystem include ongoing token unlocks, the launch of portfolio margining for unified collateral on the testnet, and new institutional partnerships.

Oversold signals intensify as bearish momentum accelerates

Momentum remains weak, with daily MACD and ADX firmly bearish, reflecting clear downside pressure. The RSI (35.14), Stoch RSI (15.98 — Oversold), and CCI (–92.86 — Sell) all point to an oversold market, although Stoch RSI and BBP (–0.29 — Oversold) confirm seller dominance intraday. There was a notable gap down from the previous close ($29.10) to today’s open ($27.60), and the price is now trading near its daily low within a high-volatility session after a sharp 8.37% drop. Intraday tone remains negative as momentum indicators and price action are aligned to the downside, with oscillators only hinting oversold but not yet reversing the trend.

Sideways outlook prevails amid high volatility and weak reversal odds

For the next five trading days, HYPE is expected to trade in a normalized range of roughly $24.00 — $28.00, keeping within 10% of the current price due to elevated volatility. There is a very low probability (less than 20%) of a meaningful upside move, while the probability of continued weakness is very high. The baseline scenario is sideways action between $24.00 and $28.00 amid oversold alerts but sustained bearish momentum. A bullish scenario would require a sustained break above the $28.00 — $29.00 area, which might trigger short covering toward resistance at $33.34, while a bearish scenario could unfold if the price dips below $24.00, extending toward fresh multi-month lows.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees continued technical and sentiment weakness in Hyperliquid despite ETF news from Bitwise. He notes that bearish momentum dominates, with oversold signals failing to reverse the negative tone. The analyst remains cautious, expecting sideways or lower price action unless $28.00 is regained. "Until buyers reclaim $28.00, the risk/reward strongly favors defense — I don’t chase potential bounces here."
