Solana Mobile Seeker SKR rallies on listings, staking demand
Solana Mobile Seeker (SKR) surged more than 150% following listings on Bybit, MEXC, Gate, KuCoin, and other crypto exchanges, as token holders opted for participation in the exclusive Seeker community over immediate profits.
On January 21, Solana Mobile launched trading of the native token for its Seeker mobile ecosystem, distributing 1.96 billion SKR—less than 20% of the total token supply—to eligible Seeker smartphone owners and developers as part of an airdrop.
The distribution followed the first Seeker ecosystem season, which recorded more than $2.6 billion in transaction volume. According to Solana Mobile, over 100,000 users and 188 developers received SKR, with most choosing to stake their tokens at an annual yield of 25% rather than immediately sending them to exchanges.
Long-term strategy outweighs short-term gains
As a result, approximately 64% of the total circulating supply remains locked, reducing selling pressure and supporting SKR’s strong price performance. At the time of writing, SKR was up more than 155%, trading above $0.02.

Whether SKR can maintain these levels will likely depend on the continuation of the airdrop, which runs for 90 days and is set to conclude in April. During this period, all unclaimed tokens will be recycled into future incentive programs, while stakers can claim rewards every 48 hours without unstaking their principal, allowing rewards to continue compounding.
While this structure is unlikely to exert significant downward pressure on the price in the near term, many holders may choose to realize profits once the airdrop period ends.
