Binance supports MANTRA token swap and 1:4 redenomination
OM token surges 25% ahead of MANTRA rebrand

The world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance, announced that it will support the swap, redenomination, and rebranding of MANTRA (OM) tokens, scheduled for early March.

The crypto project Mantra (OM), which became widely known after a sharp token crash — with its price reaching $9 a year ago — is now undergoing a rebranding and a 1:4 redenomination. According to Binance, as part of this process, the exchange will remove all existing OM spot trading pairs (OM/USDT, OM/USDC, and OM/TRY) and cancel all pending OM spot orders on March 2 at 03:00 (UTC).

On March 4, 2026, at 08:00 (UTC), Binance will open trading for the new pairs MANTRA/USDT, MANTRA/USDC, and MANTRA/TRY.

The project’s team describes the OM-to-MANTRA rebranding as a strategic move to stimulate ecosystem growth. The project was originally launched within the Polkadot parachain ecosystem. It later shifted its focus from a DeFi-DAO model to developing institutional blockchain infrastructure and real-world asset (RWA) solutions, accompanied by the launch of its own network, MANTRA Chain (Cosmos SDK). As a result, the OM token, previously issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain, will migrate to its native network and be renamed MANTRA.

Surge in OM interest ahead of token swap

Following the announcement of Binance’s support for the rebranding and redenomination, the OM token price surged 25% within 24 hours to $0.006. Buying pressure suggests that investors are aiming to profit from the upcoming swap and conversion into MANTRA tokens at a 1:4 ratio, which the project team says will not affect overall market capitalization.

Binance guarantees that all user OM balances will be automatically converted into MANTRA tokens at an exact 1 OM to 4 MANTRA ratio. Other crypto exchanges are likely to follow a similar procedure. However, token holders are advised to ensure their assets are properly positioned ahead of the swap.
