Highlights

  • Robinhood launched its own blockchain, reaching nearly $1 billion in total value locked and utilizing Uniswap for liquidity.
  • Increased integration with Robinhood has driven higher UNI token burns, decreasing supply and expanding UNI's decentralized finance utility.
  • UNI/USD trades below key moving averages with strong seller control, persistent oversold signals, and a projected range of $3.189 to $3.485.

Protocol integration and token burns boost structural demand amid persistent selloff

Robinhood launched its own blockchain on July 1, achieving nearly $1 billion in total value locked while depending almost entirely on Uniswap's protocols for liquidity, according to Cointelegraph. This integration has led to higher UNI token burns, directly affecting Uniswap’s tokenomics by decreasing circulating supply and reinforcing its utility in decentralized finance infrastructure. These developments underscore increased structural demand for UNI, though price action has remained under broader selling pressure.

Oversold signals diverge as downside momentum holds below moving averages

On the hourly chart, UNI is trading below the MA-20 at $3.47 and the MA-50 at $3.51, while on the daily timeframe, it remains under the MA-200 at $3.46. The Ichimoku Kijun provides immediate resistance at $3.49. Hourly momentum indicators are negative, with MACD and ADX both signaling Sell. RSI is at 33.55, Stoch RSI and CCI are both in oversold territory, and Bull/Bear Power shows sellers firmly in control intraday. The Awesome Oscillator is neutral, providing little support for the current trend. Despite the persistent oversold condition shown by oscillators, strong downside momentum continues, revealing a divergence between exhaustion signals and selling pressure.

Sideways consolidation likely as downside risk outweighs chances for rebound

In the near term, UNI/USD is expected to trade within a range of $3.19 to $3.48, with volatility remaining elevated. The probability of an upward move is assessed as very low, and further downside is much more likely given current technical conditions. The baseline scenario suggests price will consolidate sideways near recent lows. A bullish reversal would require a clear breakout above the $3.49 resistance, while a drop below the $3.19 support could prompt additional declines.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes that technical conditions for UNI remain weak despite positive developments on the fundamental side. He sees the increase in UNI token burns from Robinhood’s blockchain adoption as supportive for long-term value, but current price action is dictated by strong selling momentum. As long as UNI stays below its key resistance levels, the immediate outlook remains defensive. "The upside case is invalid unless UNI breaks above $3.49 — until then, further downside risk prevails."

Earlier, analysts noted that Uniswap faced persistent short-term bearish pressure, with mixed technical signals reflecting broad market weakness. The current analysis reinforces this cautionary stance, highlighting that despite increased structural utility from major integrations, ongoing downside momentum warrants close attention to the $3.19 support as a trigger for additional declines.
