EU traders: Bybit access ends July 1 — Are you ready?
In a move to comply with the European Union’s evolving crypto regulatory landscape, Bybit has announced the launch of its new European platform, Bybit.eu, effective July 1, 2025.
This transition is part of the company’s broader effort to align with MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) and obtain a license in Austria, signaling a proactive shift in its operations for European users.
As a result, Bybit.com will cease services for users who have completed European verification. The exchange emphasizes that this change is procedural and reflects its commitment to regulatory compliance and long-term sustainability in the European market.
Steps for verified European users
The transition affects only those users verified under EU jurisdiction. Others can continue using Bybit.com without interruption.
European-verified users are advised to take the following actions:
1. Close all open positions on Bybit.com before July 1.
2. Join the whitelist for access to the new Bybit.eu platform by registering at https://partner.bybit.com/b/regeuclient
3. Await further instructions from Bybit. The company assures users that the migration process will be smooth and well-coordinated.
Bybit has stated that it will provide timely updates and direct support to ensure clarity throughout the transition. The exchange has also committed to transparent communication, noting that its support teams are available to address user concerns during the migration process.
A strategic move toward regulatory alignment
Founded in 2018, Bybit has grown into one of the world's largest crypto derivatives platforms, offering advanced tools, high liquidity, and low-latency trading. The launch of Bybit.eu marks a significant milestone in its global compliance strategy, potentially setting a benchmark for other platforms navigating Europe’s regulatory environment.
As MiCAR reshapes crypto operations across the EU, Bybit’s early adaptation may position it as a leader in licensed and compliant digital asset trading in the region.
