World has launched World Money, an app that combines stablecoin payments, digital asset yields and trading in a single interface. The self-custody service is now available in more than 150 countries, although features vary by jurisdiction.
Users can send supported digital assets, including stablecoins, to a recipient's World username, deposit eligible assets to earn yield, and buy or sell them through integrated exchanges.

World Money builds on the financial features of World App, which launched in May 2023. The original app combined World ID with a crypto wallet, stablecoin transfers and token trading, but the company has now decided to separate its identity and financial services.
The app integrates third-party Mini Apps, including Kalshi, Credit and Morpho. They allow users to access additional financial services directly within the World ecosystem.
Through a partnership with Stripe, users will also be able to fund their accounts and buy stablecoins with Apple Pay. The feature will initially be available in the U.S.
World began gradually expanding the app's financial capabilities in October 2024 with the launch of World App 3.0. At the time, the company added third-party Mini Apps and a Vault feature for earning yield on digital assets.
In November 2025, World also began testing virtual bank accounts in the U.S. and expanded their availability a month later. The feature allows users to receive salaries and bank transfers, with the funds subsequently converted into USDC.
Following the launch, the ecosystem will operate through two separate apps. World ID App handles identity verification and digital credentials, while World Money combines a wallet, payments, trading and other financial services.
Existing World App and World ID App users can use their current accounts with the new service. The project is operated by Tools for Humanity, the company founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania that develops technology for the World network.
In July, Grayscale filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to launch the Grayscale Worldcoin ETF. If approved, the fund would directly hold WLD, the native token of World Network.
Such a product would provide investors with a regulated way to gain direct exposure to WLD through exchange-traded infrastructure. Grayscale's application remains under review by the U.S. regulator.
Earlier, we reported on the Worldcoin price outlook amid a WLD sell-off. The token's decline increased market attention on potential further downside targets.
