Uniswap adds Curve and PancakeSwap liquidity

Uniswap Labs has launched a mechanism for aggregating liquidity from third-party platforms across Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain. The update will allow users to find better cryptocurrency swap rates, while fees generated from these transactions will also contribute to UNI token burns.

The new Aggregator Hooks feature is available through the Uniswap web app and application programming interface (API). Initially, it supports liquidity from Fluid, Curve and PancakeSwap.

Developers plan to expand the list of supported blockchains. A similar mechanism was first introduced in March 2026 on Tempo, the payments network developed by Stripe and Paradigm.

How Uniswap's new aggregation mechanism works

Aggregator Hooks uses Uniswap v4 functionality that allows custom features to be added to liquidity pools. The update enables the protocol to consider offers from other decentralized exchanges when determining the most efficient swap route.

Each external liquidity source is integrated so that the system treats it like a standard Uniswap pool. The algorithm then compares available prices and executes the swap within a single transaction.

Third-party liquidity is automatically included when users trade through the web app. Developers of external services can also access the feature through the API.

The initiative was introduced in November 2025 as part of the UNIfication proposal. At the time, the team outlined plans to turn the fourth version of the protocol into an aggregator combining liquidity from multiple trading platforms.

According to Uniswap Labs, cumulative trading volume through the protocol has exceeded $4.5 trillion. Despite the substantial liquidity available within its own ecosystem, some funds remain on competing platforms.

Fees will contribute to UNI token burns

Swaps using external liquidity sources will be subject to Uniswap protocol fees. A portion of the revenue will be allocated to the UNI burn mechanism, reducing the token's circulating supply.

By expanding its swap routing capabilities, the protocol will also be able to generate fee revenue from transactions involving liquidity on competing platforms. Developers have not provided specific projections for additional revenue.

Meanwhile, the market for regulated UNI derivatives continues to expand. In October 2026, CME Group launched Uniswap and Bitcoin Cash futures trading, adding two assets to its cryptocurrency derivatives lineup.

The new instruments allow market participants to gain price exposure to the respective tokens without purchasing them directly. Trading takes place within CME's regulated infrastructure.

Earlier, we reported that Uniswap maintained positive momentum following comments from project founder Hayden Adams about growing recognition of the decentralized finance sector. His remarks drew market attention to the outlook for DeFi.
