Guinea boosts development with World Bank

Makhtar Diop held a constructive meeting with Sylla Cire, Guinea's minister of economy and finance, to discuss the country's key development priorities. The talks highlighted the significant role of the World Bank Group in supporting these efforts.

Diop emphasized collaboration to enhance Guinea's attractiveness for growth and progress.

Makhtar Diop has previously announced IFC's support for Côte d’Ivoire’s national development plan to increase private investment and job creation, as outlined in the PND 2026-2030 partnership. In another deal, Diop confirmed IFC's $400 million investment in Argentina's Rincón Lithium Project to back mineral supply and job growth in the region. These initiatives reflect IFC's ongoing involvement in major development projects across emerging markets.
