Tim Scott: Financial literacy should be accessible to all Americans
Financial literacy for all Americans

Financial literacy must not be a privilege, according to Tim Scott, who serves as Chairman of an influential U.S. banking committee.

Scott said he is working to remove barriers that prevent Americans from building and investing in their futures. The comments were shared during Financial Literacy Month.

Earlier this month, Scott noted the start of Financial Literacy Month with an emphasis on financial education and discipline in a public statement. He also highlighted a recent U.S. Labor Department proposal to expand 401(k) investment options as a step toward improving retirement security for American workers. Both efforts align with his ongoing calls to address barriers to financial opportunity.
