Bitcoin node runs on Mac mini

Alex Thorn has built a personal AI research infrastructure on a Mac mini, operating without any cloud or SaaS solutions. Thorn detailed that his setup includes running a full bitcoin node using Bitcoin Core v29, with over 944,000 blocks and full transaction indexing, all powered by Umbrel Home.

He is also running a local mempool instance and the bitfeed tool by Mononautical, emphasizing a local-first and privacy-oriented approach to bitcoin infrastructure.
