Kevin O'Leary: Bitcoin and Ethereum capture most crypto volatility as smaller coins collapse
Bitcoin, Ethereum dominate crypto volatility

Kevin O'Leary has argued that holding Bitcoin and Ethereum exposes investors to nearly all of the volatility found in the broader cryptocurrency market. He explained that smaller cryptocurrencies, which he referred to as 'poo-poo coins,' collapsed last October and thousands have not recovered since. O'Leary disclosed that he sold all of his alternative coins and now only holds Bitcoin and Ethereum.

O'Leary has previously cautioned that emotional responses to market volatility can lead to poor investment decisions, urging investors to remain calm during market swings. In a separate commentary, he noted growing cooperation among Gulf states, setting up new trade flows into Asia. The investor’s recent focus remains on the risks found in the digital asset market.
