Joseph Politano reports that U.S. CPI inflation has climbed to 4.2% year-on-year, according to data released this morning, marking the highest level since 2023. Additionally, the month-on-month increase was 0.5%.
Core CPI inflation rose to 2.9% year-on-year, with a 0.2% increase month-on-month.
Politano previously reported that U.S. CPI inflation reached 3.8% year-on-year, with core CPI at 2.8%. Data center construction spending has also surged, hitting a record-high $51 billion annually. The two data points reflect continued momentum in both inflation and infrastructure investment.
