Mason Versluis: Impersonation scam targets users with $5,000 crypto demand
Impersonation scammer requests $5,000 in crypto

Mason Versluis, influencer at Social media, reports receiving messages on Telegram about an impersonation scam.

According to Versluis, a scammer is contacting individuals while pretending to be him and is requesting $5,000 under the guise of trading on their behalf. Versluis explicitly states that he does not trade for others and will never directly message users asking for money.

Versluis has previously issued public warnings to his followers, including an alert against transferring XRP assets into SpaceX-related schemes, advising individuals to consult financial professionals (see article). He has also advocated for holding both XRP and XLM as a diversification strategy in past commentary (see article). His recent statements follow a pattern of caution regarding crypto transactions and offers.
