Iran could earn $60-$70 billion a year from oil exports, Javier Blas notes
Iran oil revenue may reach $70 billion

Javier Blas, energy and commodities columnist, journalist, author at Bloomberg, estimates that if Iran returns to exporting oil at pre-war levels, it could generate $60-$70 billion annually from crude and other oil liquids based on current prices.

Blas adds that with memorandum of understanding waivers under consideration, Tehran could repatriate these funds, resulting in significant inflows of oil revenue for the country.

In previous coverage, Blas reported that China's oil imports in May dropped 38% from the 2025 average. He also noted Murban crude from the UAE had moved into contango as time spreads for key Middle Eastern grades collapsed. These developments highlight shifting patterns in global oil supply and demand.
