Jameson Lopp: Lack of demand for fork futures keeps exchanges away
Major exchanges avoid fork futures

Jameson Lopp, board member at Casa, commented on the lack of interest in fork futures throughout the year.

Lopp highlighted that no major crypto exchange has listed fork futures, with the only visible market being Predyx, which has seen just 2 BTC in total volume. He suggested that the absence of buyers for 110 coins explains the lack of significant activity in this segment.

Lopp previously questioned the ability to launch a new Bitcoin client, citing concerns over protocol expertise and decision-making in a recent article. He also noted that all BIP-110 nodes are set to be removed from the Bitcoin network in one month, marking a network milestone earlier this year. These observations reflect his ongoing focus on Bitcoin protocol developments.
