But we saved everything 🙂.
Andre Cronje, founder of Flying Tulip and former chief technology officer and board member of Sonic Labs, discussed the roles of management and user autonomy in DeFi vaults and lending markets.
Cronje noted that if a vault or lending market is managed by someone with control, it operates as an enterprise building on the work of others. He emphasized that vaults should provide users with options, but users must have the final say. He also stated that lending markets should be completely permissionless and free from centralized management.
Cronje recently reported that USDC and USDT on Ethereum have generated yields of nearly 15 percent under robust strategic management, while returns on Sonic have reached 7 percent, according to his analysis of stablecoin performance. He also highlighted rising USDC yields and increasing total value locked on both Ethereum and Sonic in a separate market update. These observations come as stablecoin lending continues to attract attention in decentralized finance.
