Long bond yield surges to 19-year peak, Mike Shedlock notes
30-year bond yield reaches 19-year high

Mike Shedlock, author / blogger at MishTalk, highlights that the 30-year long bond yield is now the highest it has been in 19 years.

He suggests that market participants are sending a message to Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh in response to recent monetary policy decisions.

Shedlock has previously questioned the framing of an 8% and falling recession probability as "doom porn" in his analysis of economic risk assessments. He also pointed to the GDPNow final estimate for 2026 Q2 GDP at 1.5 percent, below the Econoday consensus of 2.3 percent. His recent commentary continues a focus on macroeconomic indicators and market sentiment.
