Bitcoin nodes stuck after BIP-110 issues, Jameson Lopp warns
Bitcoin BIP-110 nodes stuck at height

Jameson Lopp, board member at Casa, warns that users who ran a BIP-110 Bitcoin node despite earlier cautions are now experiencing technical issues with their nodes stuck at block height 961,633.

Lopp notes that simply switching to a different client will not resolve the problem and recommends using the bitcoin-cli invalidateblock command to synchronize with the main Bitcoin blockchain.

Lopp previously commented on issues related to BIP-110, stating there is currently no way to economically hold parties accountable after the failure of BIP-110. He has also highlighted other longstanding oversight lapses, citing a critical vulnerability in Coldcard's build system that went undetected for over a decade. These incidents have raised additional concerns about the detection of technical flaws in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
