Fed loans reach record as deposits rise

Stephanie Link, managing director and portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors, observes that weekly Federal Reserve loan data remains a critical indicator of the U.S. economy. According to Link, H.8 data show loans have increased in 26 of the last 31 weeks to reach a record, while deposits have risen in 22 of those weeks. Loans are up 7.4 percent, and average assets, loans, and deposits are up 1 percent in the quarter to date.

Link recently highlighted strong quarterly results from NVDA, CRM, and MRVL against a backdrop of positive U.S. economic data in a previous report. Earlier this year, she announced her inclusion in the Forbes 50 over 50 list, recognizing successful women leaders in finance in another public statement. These professional updates reflect her ongoing engagement with market trends and industry recognition.
