Laura Shin: Blockworks asks SEC to require disclosure of token loans and market-maker deals
Blockworks urges SEC for token transparency

Blockworks is asking the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to require token projects to disclose token loans, market-maker agreements, and payments to influencers under the agency's proposed Regulation Crypto Assets. Laura Shin reported that these requests were outlined in Blockworks' description of its comment letter to the SEC.

Shin has recently covered security developments in crypto, including the NEAR Intents GM's work on Shield to address a rise in AI-driven hacks since March. Critics have also debated whether the $250,000 payout for an XRP Ledger infinite mint bug matched industry standards. These prior issues have focused community attention on transparency and risk reporting.
