Lance Roberts: J.P. Morgan Asset Management notes high U.S. equity valuations may constrain returns
J.P. Morgan sees U.S. stocks may disappoint

J.P. Morgan Asset Management stated that with U.S. equities currently priced for perfection, the next five years could bring slimmer returns, even as many businesses remain exceptional.

Lance Roberts shared the remarks, which caution that even great stocks can disappoint investors if high prices are paid.

Roberts recently noted that the S&P 500 has avoided a 1% daily drop for more than 50 consecutive trading days, with New York Stock Exchange downside volume remaining muted over the same period according to his analysis. In a separate report, he compared current market sentiment to the tone of Stealer's Wheel's 1970s hit in commentary for his Before the Bell Report.
