Alberta Business Alliance launches in Calgary

The Alberta Business Alliance was launched in Calgary, aiming to bring together industries and entrepreneurs to help keep Alberta competitive for business. Danielle Smith attended the launch event and also sat down with Mayor Jeromy Farkas as part of her busy schedule.

Alberta recently reported the creation of over 23,000 new jobs, which lowered its unemployment rate below the national average, according to official figures. The province also closed the 2025-26 fiscal year with a $2.2 billion surplus and saw the Heritage Savings Trust Fund exceed $32 billion, as noted in recent financial disclosures. These developments come as local leaders look to strengthen Alberta’s business environment.
