Ursula von der Leyen aims to boost EU innovation through streamlined rules
@vonderleyen: EU innovation and AI plans

Ursula von der Leyen has announced a push to improve funding access and streamline regulations for innovative companies across the European Union. This initiative aims to enable start-ups to scale up as easily in Europe as they would in the United States.

Additionally, von der Leyen revealed plans to expedite AI adoption, with an Apply AI Strategy set to be introduced next week.

Von der Leyen’s latest proposals build upon her recent emphasis on implementing the recommendations of the Draghi report to bolster EU competitiveness. These swift policy moves also align with her continued advocacy for democratic resilience across the region, as seen in the Commission’s affirmation of EU support for Moldova’s pro-democracy trajectory.
