Pakistan fuel prices cut as government lowers diesel, petrol rates from Nov. 3
Pakistan slashes fuel rates

Pakistan is lowering retail fuel prices after a drop in global oil markets, reducing the cost of both high-speed diesel and petrol from Nov. 3, 2026. The move trims diesel by Rs7.76 per litre and petrol by Rs3.40 per litre under the federal petroleum pricing mechanism.

Highlights

  • Pakistan lowers high-speed diesel ex-depot price by Rs7.76 to Rs395.20 and petrol by Rs3.40 to Rs374.51 per litre from Nov. 3, 2026.
  • OGRA announces revised fuel rates following the federal government's policy, with cuts aimed at supporting consumers amid global volatility.
  • Brent crude drops $6.78, or 6.0%, to $106.65 per barrel, and WTI falls $6.37, or 6.1%, to $97.75, easing domestic fuel pricing pressure.

Revised fuel rates take effect

As reported by Business Recorder, citing the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the government has reduced the ex-depot price of high-speed diesel to Rs395.20 per litre and petrol to Rs374.51 per litre, effective Nov. 3, 2026. The changes were announced in a press release issued by OGRA under the federal government's petroleum pricing mechanism.

High-speed diesel records the larger cut, with the price lowered by Rs7.76 per litre. Petrol is reduced by Rs3.40 per litre under the latest revision.

Global oil decline eases pricing pressure

International oil prices fall about 6% on Monday, helping ease pressure on domestic fuel pricing. Market sentiment improves as talks between Iranian and Qatari officials on ending the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran raise hopes of fewer supply disruptions in the Middle East.

Brent crude futures fall $6.78, or 6.0%, to $106.65 a barrel by 1357 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate is down $6.37, or 6.1%, at $97.75.

Our earlier article on Pakistan’s October 15 fuel price revision explained how the government adjusted ex-depot rates under its regular petroleum pricing mechanism—raising petrol to Rs393.86 per litre while slightly lowering high-speed diesel to Rs396.65. It also noted that the changes were tied to global oil-market developments and cost components such as Platts rates, premiums, and incidentals, highlighting how international price moves continue to feed into local pump prices.
