Adyen shares extend rally as earnings fuel breakout above 200-day SMA
Strong H1 results fuel Adyen’s breakout.

Adyen continues its strong post-earnings advance following the first-half results. A break above the 200-day SMA near €1,065 has strengthened the technical structure, although an overbought RSI is gradually increasing the risk of a short-term correction.

Back on August 13, Adyen posted its H1 2026 results, confirming robust business continued to grow. Net revenue, adjusted for currency fluctuations, grew 19%, and payment processed volumes grew 24%.

As well, the guidance raise offered additional catalysts by lifting guidance to an updated outlook of net revenue growing 21-23% on constant currency, revised upwards from its previous guidance of 20-22%.The strong market reaction following the report allowed the shares to reach the previous target near €1,000 and extend their recovery.

Holding above €1,065 keeps the bullish structure intact

As expected in the previous analysis, Adyen shares broke above the 200-day SMA near €1,065, and the post-earnings rally remains intact. Under the second-day earnings strategy, sustained momentum during the second session following the report supports the case for further upside.

The nearest resistance is €1,109. A decisive break above this level could open the way toward the next target near €1,156.

At the same time, the RSI (14) has already entered overbought territory. This does not invalidate the bullish scenario, but it could limit near-term upside and increase the probability of consolidation or profit-taking after the sharp advance.

The medium-term target remains in the €1,200–1,250 range.

Strong results provide the catalyst for a major breakout

Strong earnings gave Adyen the fundamental driver it required to launch out of its extended consolidation which commenced in Feb'2026. Stronger guidance, processed volume growth and the decided price reaction to earnings means this move up is far more concrete than recent advances.

A positive for medium term structure, also, is the move over the 200-day SMA. Given the quick pace of the post-earnings surge the price may well need a brief consolidation as the RSI is clearly overbought, however so long as the price holds above €1065, the scenario of a move toward €1,200–1,250 remains intact.
