Rolls-Royce builds momentum as U.S. defense capacity expands
Holding GBX 1,510 keeps the record high in focus.

Rolls-Royce continues to maintain a strong medium-term structure. On the fundamental side, attention is shifting toward the completion of a major expansion of the company’s defense manufacturing capacity in the U.S.

Rolls-Royce is completing a decade-long investment program worth around $1 billion across its manufacturing operations in Indiana. The project includes upgrades to manufacturing, assembly and testing facilities and is designed to increase the company’s ability to meet growing demand from the U.S. defense sector.

Indianapolis is already a key hub for Rolls-Royce’s U.S. Defence business and supports around 3,500 jobs. The upgraded facilities are involved in major programs including engines for the B-52J, Army MV-75 and Navy MQ-25A. As Pentagon demand for production capacity continues to grow, the expansion gives Rolls-Royce more room to execute existing contracts and compete for additional orders.

Holding GBX 1,510 keeps record highs in focus

Rolls-Royce shares managed to establish themselves above the GBX 1,510 level highlighted earlier, which formed the basis of the bullish scenario from the previous analysis. The price then extended its advance to around GBX 1,558.

After four consecutive sessions of gains, however, the probability of a short-term pullback has increased for today’s session. In that case, GBX 1,510 would once again become the key level to watch.

Stabilization above this level would preserve the bullish structure and keep another test of the record high at GBX 1,586 in play. A decisive break above that level would bring the medium-term target zone at GBX 1,600–1,650 back into focus.

If the shares fall below GBX 1,510 again, the correction could deepen toward the 50-day SMA near GBX 1,462.

Rolls-Royce builds strength below its all-time high

From a broader perspective, Rolls-Royce shares continue to look strong. Improving financial performance, growth in the Defence business and expanding U.S. production capacity support the fundamental backdrop, while the price remains relatively close to its all-time high.

A short-term pullback after four consecutive sessions of gains would therefore look more like potential consolidation ahead of another breakout attempt than the beginning of a sustained reversal.
