Capital.com has launched the free, open-source MCP Server, allowing users to connect AI assistants directly to their trading accounts for market research and trade execution in plain language, with all actions previewed and confirmed by the user before execution.
Capital.com has introduced the open-source MCP Server, which allows users to link AI assistants such as Claude Desktop, Codex, or Cursor directly to their trading accounts. According to the broker, the MCP Server operates locally on a Mac or Windows desktop, providing users with access to market search, portfolio details, historical data, and the capability to place trades using plain-language commands.
All trade orders must go through a mandatory preview, review, and confirmation step before execution. The system is free for eligible clients and supports both demo and live accounts, but does not support mobile devices. Setup requires a Capital.com account with two-factor authentication and specific API credentials. The broker also states that responsibilities regarding the use of third-party AI tools rest with the user, and that trading CFDs and spread bets involves significant risk.
Capital.com is a globally regulated broker offering trading in shares via CFDs, with support for clients of varying experience levels. Notable features include a fast registration process, multilingual support in 13 languages, segregated client accounts, a variety of deposit and withdrawal methods, and access to a broad range of trading instruments along with numerous educational materials and market research tools.
